In September 1994, 62 children aged 6 to 12 at Ariel School near Ruwa, Zimbabwe reported seeing one or more silver craft land in a field beside the school during morning break. Several described small figures in black approaching them and said they received a telepathic environmental message. Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John Mack interviewed the children over subsequent months and found their accounts consistent, detailed, and not suggestive of fabrication. It is among the most prominent close-encounter cases involving child witnesses, and the children did not retract their accounts in adulthood. It rests on witness testimony.
