Detail

Released through the PURSUE declassification, this Department of War video was identified by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) among records requested by U.S. House members in March 2026. AARO assesses the 38-second clip likely derives from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. Coast Guard platform operating in the southeastern United States in 2024. A user uploaded it to a classified network in June 2024.

For most of the clip the sensor pans to keep an area of contrast within its field of view, and near the 33-second mark it pans left, causing the contrast area to exit the right side of the frame. The description is provided for information only and reflects no conclusion about the event.
