Detail

Released through the PURSUE declassification, this Department of War video was identified by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) among records requested by U.S. House members in March 2026. AARO assesses the 29-second clip likely derives from an infrared sensor aboard a U.S. military platform operating in the U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM) area of responsibility in 2022. A user uploaded it to a classified network in July 2023.

In the footage the sensor pans to track an area of contrast; a reticle surrounds the object around the 14-second mark and then loses its track around the 27-second mark. The description is provided for information only and reflects no conclusion about the event.
